Williams played on movies such as The Pick-up Artist, Shaft, and Hannah Montana: The Movie. She also released several music albums.
She married her second husband, Rick Fox, in 1999, and the couple had a daughter in 2000 before divorcing in 2004. She then married Jim Skrip in 2015. She was previously married to Ramon Hervey II from 1987 to 1997.
She starred alongside America Ferrera on Ugly Betty.
