Shalita was born August 28, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her by far most famous role is an agent Sonja Percy on criminal TV series NCIS: New Orleans. Her other appearances were on Bones, Mercy Street, and Melissa & Joey. Grant studied at prestigious Julliard School. She received scholarship and pursued her B.F.A. degree in Drama there. Shalita graduated in 2010. Her career is slowly rising ever since.

"I generally work out every day. If I'm at work, between takes I'll do push-ups and an ab routine. I'm there for anywhere from 10 to 16 hours a day, so sometimes I can't work out at my house.
